We are very concerned by the criminalisation of abortion in some member states of the European Union and the increasing activities of anti-choice groups and politicians within the EU, as well as the problems of access to abortion even in countries where abortion is legal. For these reasons, we think it is very necessary to join together and share our knowledge and experiences and establish a pro-choice network using the blog. This blog will be used for: 1. Exchanging information on · the activities of anti-choice groups and politicians in our countries; · problems regarding abortion access also in countries where abortion is legal; · experiences in opposing anti-choice activities in legal ways as well as campaigning, demonstrating and using internet platforms. 2. Establishing a pro-choice solidarity network · for exploring possibilities to support each other in researching and campaigning in our individual countries or within the EU; · exploring the possibility for public hearings in the EU Parliament; · organising further meetings and conferences.http://europeanprochoicenetwork.wordpress.com/about/ |

ECWR’s work is based on the belief that women's rights are an integral part of human rights and are key to any substantive progress towards building a democratic culture and development in Egypt and the Middle East region. Our programs help women to obtain their rights through legal channels, awareness raising, training, legal and family counseling, monitoring of rights violations inflicted on women, and empowering women to participate in political life through a variety of means, as an activist, voter and candidate. ECWR carries out programs and projects at the grassroots level that cover all areas of Egypt, urban and rural, in addition to our advocacy work on the official level and coalition and capacity building activities among civil society in Egypt and the Arab region. |

WEDO recognizes that policy commitments alone are not enough to improve women’s daily lives. That is why WEDO is collaborating more deeply with Southern partners on implementing global policy gains at the national level and holding governments accountable to their commitments on women’s rights. |

We support, educate, and celebrate Christian feminists from many traditions.
- EEWC affirms that the Bible supports the equality of the sexes.
- We believe that our society and churches have irresponsibly encouraged men to domination and women to passivity.
- We proclaim God's redemptive word on mutuality and active discipleship.
- We value inclusive images and language for God.
- We advocate ordination of women and full expression of women's leadership and spiritual gifts.
